I want to give Redondo a try, but the only information I've found says park in the lot at Capt Kids Fish Market and launch off the rocks on the west side of the pier. I guess it's $20 for the day but you can get your parking validated with a purchase at the fish market.

Does anyone here know about launching in Redondo?

Redondo is a "no body contact" harbor last time I checked. No tubers allowed. But yet they allow paddle boarders...I believe it has something to do with a tuber/swimmer not being able to get out of the way of boat traffic fast enough. That's the only place that would make it tempting to own a kayak....

Evidently it's all "King Harbor Marina" - no fishing of any sort allowed. Bummer. Thanks for the head's up!

Hey get a inflatable dingy. They pop up on craigslist. Launch on the other side of the small pier. Go rip some lip bra.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't given up on Redondo yet. I think I'm going to launch off the beach at the Chart House and work the outside of that long wall. As long as I check surf watch the day before, I'll be OK.
