FTFF Gathering Officer

I've run the gambit from small pontoon boat to kayak. Living in FL at the moment and will move to Maine once this virus thing settles down. Will be looking to purchase a float tube and explore the small ponds and lakes in the Ellsworth/Bangor area. I'm still rummaging through the forum and hopefully will find the answers before being a noob and asking for something already posted.

Welcome VARick,

A float tube is easier transportation wise than a kayak or a toon. I have a toon and a kayak as well. I like fishing from the toon the most, it is similar to the kayak loading and unloading. The kayak make me feel like I am hanging on with my butt cheeks when fighting a fish.

Enjoy the site

Welcome aboard VARick,
I am very pleased that you were able to find us here on FTFF.

Now-a-days I strictly use and I totally enjoy the Cumberland float tube over Outcast because of certain items.
There are also certain items about the Outcast that I prefer over the Cumberland.
Ha ha ha I have (4) four of them + spare bladders.

I wish I could take the best from each FT and blend it all together to create one perfect FT. Wishful thinking.

Good luck in your float tube search.

Does anybody out there have EXTRA $ money to invest and wants to make Float Tube's locally here in SoCal?
