I decided to go out to Corona Lake and fish with a couple of friends to end 2012. On the water about 7:00 am and notice that it is down 6'-10' so i just kick over to the east side and work a split shot and a Lip Ripperz jig. I'm relaxing drinking my coffee and the dead stick w/ the jig on it goes BENDO!! HANAPA'A and the drag is singing. about halfway in I can see it's back and know that it is a pretty good size fish and it takes off again. I am using 2# test on my UL pole so I just let it get tired before I put any pressure on it. It's just lip hooked and it is almost to big for the net but finally get it in the net and breath easy again.

The scale at the bait shop read 10.5 Lbs and my digital read 10 lbs 14 ozs. Either way it was a good size fish and my PB freshwater fish to date.
