Looking for solutions for larger booties on waders

I have a pair of Adamsbuilt truckee river waders that fit perfect in the legs, waist, and chest. However, the booties are too big making it hard to put on a shoe to use with my fins (hotspot fins). Is it a bad idea to put your fins directly on to the neoprene booties? Any suggestions?

You HAVE to protect  the feet of those waders! one small cut and they leak horribly. At bare minimum I suggest something  like these:

I have not used these specifically, mine are hard sole, and 3 times the price. but these are along the lines of some sort of protection.

what I speak of is getting to the water to launch. I wear mine inside my fins because they fit well. once in the water I don't think "bare Booties" would be an issue.

reason for this suggestion is they make larger sizes to fit over lots of material of neoprene foot

Can you send me a link or the name of the ones you use? I'll check those out as well. Thank you for the help!

I use the size 14 over my neoprene waders,(also have too large of bootie) and my regular shoe size is 13.

these are close but less expensive. 14,15,and 16 sizes are all $27 bucks at the moment Very Happy

very durable and comfortable walking through parking lot, etc. to launch tube. not sure about fit into your fins, I have classic accessories turbo thrust fins and they fit in those fairly well

I agree with everything FF said. These are the soft booties I use.
I have different surf booties I wear when its warm and I don't need the waders.

trial and error for me.
Three sets of fins, 3 sets of bootie/watershoes

Yes you can use your fins with out booties unless you got fins to be used with booties. Using booties with fins is personal things. I use no booties with my fins and I have a pair Simms $800 waders for what it's worth.
Try it and if you don't like it, get booties or another pair of fins. Pretty simple. There's a lot of topics on fins and booties

I have wide feet, size 10 but 4E.

Using booties over my wader feet makes my feet cramp when I stuff my feet into X large fins.

I quit using booties about 5 years ago.

What I do use is Crocs.

After I put my waders on at truck I slip on my size 13 Crocs.

I always put on and take off my fins while sitting in my tube in about 18 inches of water.

Makes it real easy this way.

After putting my fins on I just toss the the Crocs in the front of my tube (Prowler) till I come in.

The Crocs float in case I drop one and the the harder sole makes it easier going up and down steep banks or when I have to walk a longer distance to get to water's edge.

The Crocs dry fast mud comes right off.

I also carry a 3 X4 foot piece of outdoor carpet. I lay this down behind truck and put on my waders and Crocs standing on this.

I leave this carpet out when I am fishing so when I get back to truck I have a clean, puncture proof area to take off waders and to pile them up along with my fins to keep them out of the dirt or mud.

After a few trips I just hose off the carpet and it dries fast.
