I got a few hours in at SailCove this morning thought I would share.

The lake is up 4 feet or more from 2 weeks ago. The water in SailCove was dirty and murky from the inlet pipe blasting the last 2 weeks or so.

Water Temp: 77 degrees
Air Temp: 65 to 85
Time In: 7:15 AM
Time Out: 10:35 AM
Reaction Bait:  Rapala CD 12# test
Drop Shot 6#: FoolsBait Lil Mack 3 1/2 inches
Drop Shot 6#: Robo Aarons Magic 4 1/2

Sorry no pics, I forgot my camera in a rush to get gone this morning.

I caught my first fish just before 8 AM with the Rapala in about 20 feet of water. I saw a couple of bass break the surface near the buoy about 20 yards away. I dropped the  Rapala over the top of them and seconds later bamb! Fish on the count of 3.
There were small schools of bait fish scattered about in the area with bass chasing. I caught 2 more bass on the drop shot. One with the LilMack working an underwater slope. The last one dragging the Aarons Magic about 21 feet down. I was sitting in 20 feet of water for all 3 fish.

Hope this helps

Jerdon-  Did you happen to see anyone catching panfish (Bluegill or Redears) in that area?  I want to go out, but since Bernasconi is closed, I'm trying to decide if I should launch there at Sail Cove or go up to the launch ramp area.  I think the launch ramp area will have more panfish there because there is more structure there..

Jeff, Bigfish.
Just a few days ago it was 111 degrees out here, way too hot for me. So yes, was a very nice day.

Komori,

No, I did not see any panfish being caught. However, I do think the boat launch heading to the island or just east from the launch would be better for pan fish. There is tons of weeds that way right now.
