Awesome, Im going to find out if my Uncle is game. I'll tell you by the end of the night though.

Now whatever you do, do not arrive at the gate with ANY moisture in or on your float tube (in case they do inspect). If there's any water found, you will be turned away! Don't do what I did and rinse out your float tube pockets the night before!
Since I live fairly close to the lake and I am down there a lot anyway, I'm going to try to make it. Sounds like fun. I primarily fish for Bluegill, Redear and crappie at Perris, but I have done a ton of bass fishing in the past there, so who knows, maybe I'll catch a fish or two.

O MAN...... This looks like its gunna be a really good turn out caint wait you guys were gunna slaughter them bass out there!!!!

Don't get too excited. With this cooler weather and water temps taking a nose dive, it might give the bass lockjaw. They should be starting to spawn now, but they are not and they are still fairly deep. But anything can happen in two weeks....

I always prepare for the worst but with all of us out there, someone is more likely to get a chunky one

I'm wondering if the east end by 11 and 12 might not be more productive. Shallow water so should warm up sooner. Last spring that is where I fished until it got too hot. It was loaded with shad. Either way looking forward to hit Perris.

Since we're knocking off fairly early, Aquaholic is going to bring some burgers to grill and I plan to bring some fish and the trimmings to make fish tacos with.
Is the meeting area cool for breaking out a propane grill and camp stove?
A picture of the meeting area would be great to give us an idea what it's like

Can we get some of you guys to bring some chips and salsa and water/sodas?
And what is the alcohol consumption policy at Perris?

No alcohol, except on the lake. Kinda crazy, but if you have a barley POP in a concealed container and don't get stupid it might be ok.

Im glad u can make it I would love to do a potlok kinda gathwring!!! The area were we all meet is perfect for a propaine stove/ bbq. There picnic benches an plenty of trees for shade. If any one is planin on bringin somethin we should throw up by our names on sign up sheet. I can handle bringin out the sodas n water thats np. O MAN cant wait!!!! Only 13 days

And im not gonna be able to make it raw!!!!! got wedding stuff to takecare of for the next two months.......so i wont be fishing much unless i can get some morning sessions in durring the week days

For some of you that wanted to know what the Lake Perris gathering place looks like, here's a shot of the picnic area of the Bernasconi launch area. Some trees, picnic tables, barbecue stands and a restroom. Lake is down to the right several hundred yards. Parking lot is to the left, out of the photo a hundred feet or so. This pic was shot facing southwest toward Rock Climber's cove and the dam beyond that.
